Mamou attracts by far the biggest crowds in Southwest Louisiana on the Monday night before Mardi Gras, but the Eunice street dance is also gaining a nice following.

The top picture was taken in Eunice, with the bands performing that night shown underneath: Kenneth Thibodeaux (shown on accordion) and the Cajun Dance Band. Next is Jr. Melancon, leader of the Come Down Playboys, also on accordion.

La Bande Feufollet led off the Mamou live music. Shown in individual pictures are Ashley Hayes and Christopher Stafford. The group picture also includes Brittany Polaski and Chris Segura. Courtney Granger on bass was out of view at the far right of the stage.

As is traditional, Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys performed Monday night in Mamou. Steve is shown raising his hand as he leads the crowd in "La Chanson de Mardi Gras," the band's first number.
